Guided Hunts
We typically hunt in Kansas and Missouri depending on several factors we’re always watching including weather, migration routes, and plain old scouting. We’ll do our best to accommodate your desire for a specific hunt and date, but we may need you to be flexible with us so that we can provide you the best opportunity for a great experience.
Duck Hunt
If you desire a duck hunt, we’ll coordinate with you ahead of time so that you’ll be prepared for the conditions we will face for the day. Depending upon weather, current migration trends and recent scouting we may be hunting from boat blinds, layout blinds, or walk-in marsh conditions for duck hunts.
- Fees: Fees vary based on desired hunt. As always, youths age 15 and younger, are free!
- Hunting Party Sizes: We generally hunt no more than two to four hunters per day and two of the Brothers at a time.
- Video: At your request, and for an additional fee, HPL Video will provide you with an edited High Definition (HD) DVD copy of the hunt.
Goose Hunt
We generally field hunt geese from Avery Finisher blinds over several dozen full body, fully flocked goose decoys. We can usually accommodate a larger party of hunters in a field goose hunt.
- Fees: Fees vary based on desired hunt. As always, youths age 15 and younger, are free!
- Hunting Party Sizes: Depending on field conditions we can hunt parties of two to six hunters per day and two of the Brothers at a time.

Youth Scholarship Program – Like we say, Youths Hunt Free!
This is the original reason the Duck Brothers was founded. We are very concerned about the next generation of waterfowl hunters and would like to do everything possible to give the younger generation the opportunity to experience a waterfowl hunt. A large portion of the fees we earn through our guide service are set aside in a scholarship fund so we can provide waterfowl hunts to youths age 15 and younger at no cost to them.
Your Dog
The Duck Brothers have spent a considerable amount of time training Gettin “Jett” Black to aide them in the conservation efforts of retrieving downed birds. Though we are lovers of dogs, we are confident that between Jett and the Brothers, downed birds will be retrieved allowing you to relax in the experience, and allowing your canine to get his beauty sleep at home.
Hunter’s Safety
The Duck Brothers strongly encourage all hunters to have gone through and passed a hunter education course, however both Kansas and Missouri allow youth, and in some cases adults, to hunt without having completed a hunter education course.
